Dr Vikrant Kanwar is a medical doctor with a Post Graduate in healthcare and hospital administration. He has 19 years of professional experience in the healthcare field, at all levels of health delivery from Subcentre (PHC) to Premier Institutes like PGI and AIIMS. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor (Hospital and Healthcare Administration) and Deputy Medical Superintendent at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur, India. He has been engaged in institutional administration, research, teaching and in community engagement & collaborations. He has a keen interest in testing newer models of healthcare delivery including assessing the impact of digital tech adoption and acceptance on the care providers and on the patients. He has published his research in national and international journals of repute, in the area of Digital health technologies, Telehealth, mhealth, TeleECG, Quality in Healthcare and health administration. He has been shortlisted for consideration at Country level for WHO in country fellowship (2011) and Fulbright Hubert Humphrey Fellowship 2022 (alternate candidate). He is an author of a management self-help book titled “Officers Leaders like Qualities”. He won the Skoch Award twice in 2019 and 2022 for his work in the implementation of 2 flagship programs of Government of India, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
